Even though it can be very time consuming, they were really fun to make ... especially at 1:00 in the morning when me and my friend decided we wanted to make cupcakes. :) I have to say that the most amazing thing about these cupcakes is the fact that when you bite into them you get to see a rainbow of colors, which would be a nice surprise for someone who didn't know about their wonderful insides.<br /><center><img src="http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f294/cool3315/Cupcake%20Blog/rainbowcupcakes3.jpg" /></center><br />To make rainbow cupcakes you will need:<br /><ul><li>White cake mix &amp; whatever ingredients are listed on the box<br /></li><li>Food coloring</li><li>Cupcake cups*<br /></li><li>Icing*</li><li>Sprinkles*</li></ul>(* items are optional)<br /><br />Directions:<br /><ol><li>Mix the cake mix according to the directions on the box</li><li>Separate the cake mix into different bowls, one for each color you want to use</li><li>Add food coloring to the bowls of cake mix (we ended up using A LOT of food coloring, but we wanted to make sure that the colors were bright after they were baked)</li><li>Place your cupcake baking cups into your pan</li><li>Using your weapon of choice (I used a fork) spread your first layer of colored cake mix into each cup, make sure that it completely covers the bottom</li><li>Repeat this process with the next color, make sure not to mix the colors together by lightly pushing the new color towards the edges of the cup</li><li>Repeat until all colors are used</li><li>Bake according to the directions on the box</li><li>Let cool</li><li>Decorate</li><li>Enjoy! :)</li></ol><br /><center><img src="http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f294/cool3315/Cupcake%20Blog/rainbowcupcakes.jpg" /></center></span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3028565008816246126-2084564982065350898?l=cupcakeslovejessicamarie.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>♔ jessica.mariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18224761487699875213noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3028565008816246126.post-32620677484272943962009-03-14T20:03:00.000-04:002009-03-14T20:08:17.607-04:00This blog is more like a blog just for me. I shall be using it to post recipes I find that I want to try out. I will also be posting the recipes I do make and how I feel abou them. I have two other blogs <a href="http://lovejessicamarie.blogspot.com">Lovejessicamarie</a> and <a href="http://bookslovejessicamarie">Bookslovejessicamarie</a> that are more geared towards the public especially the book one.
